This policy explains what information Techlantis collects when you read our site, and how we use it. We keep data collection to a minimum.

What we collect

• Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which stories readers find useful: pages viewed, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type, and how you arrived. We do not use it for advertising, and Google's ads features are turned off.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site.
• News submissions. If you submit news through our form, we keep your name, email, company, website and message to review it and contact you. We check the website you give us for a link to Techlantis (our badge).
• Email address (newsletter). Only if you subscribe, used solely to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies and consent

Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked first, and analytics stays off unless they accept. We don't use advertising cookies. You can also block cookies in your browser or use Google's opt-out add-on.

Your California privacy rights

Techlantis is based in Los Angeles, California. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents can ask to know, correct or delete personal information we hold about them by emailing us, and we won't discriminate against you for doing so.

Our stories link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own.

Your rights

Wherever you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA), you may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Contact us and we will respond promptly.
